This is a journal-style newsletter subscription project where we create ornate pages full of collaged images and poetry. Born out of our love for writing, journaling, collaging, and communicating, The Kaleidoscope Journals serves as the culmination of all these creative pursuits.

The kaleidoscope is an interesting instrument. All its essential elements seem ordinary when taken individually: pieces of mirror, colored glass, tube. But when you combine them all and look through the eyepiece, you will be taken in a realm you've never seen before.

In a way, the kaleidoscope perfectly represents our entire project: combining our love of literature, letters, art, mailing lists, and all the other things that pique our interest. Meanwhile, we picked the journal as the medium for our narrative because of its introspective nature. After all, we're most honest when we create something that's for our eyes only.

Joining our mailing list will mean that you will receive our work: lovingly crafted entries (we call them issues) from our shared journal. Every issue, we pick a theme that will be the foundation of our material.

Is anything ever really free? Kidding aside, it is. We have no plans to monetize the subscription in any way.

For our journals, we only use photos or illustrations that are licensed under Creative Commons' CC0 or "no rights reserved" license. Usually, these are digital copies of book illustrations, paintings, and posters published around a century ago.

We will send you an email containing our journal entries twice a month, particularly every 1st and 16th of the month. Initially, we considered doing it weekly. But where's the fun in getting one after another almost instantly?

No. The Kaleidoscope Journal is born out of our desire to freely express our creative selves. In addition, we will not share your email with other parties.

Every now and then, we might surprise our subscribers with a little treat—and the only way to make sure it gets across them is through an email. Will it be a puzzle? A game? A hidden message? A secret hideout? Who knows?

Definitely! At some point, we will create a place that's exclusive to our subscribers for previous issues. We will let you know through email so be sure you're a subscriber!

Currently, we are dedicating all our efforts into creating our journal pages. But to be honest, there are discussions about other ways to connect with you more intimately.
